Nicole used to come to the market as a customer and noticed that fresh herbs were very limited, she loved growing and using fresh herbs at home. She started her business last winter and hopes that it complements the farmers at the market and allows customers to try something new. Nicole enjoys caring for and having pride in her gardens. She specializes in companion planting and using her herbs for landscaping and design.
For Nicole, shopping local is definitely important. It keeps products fresher and allows them to actually ripen in the garden instead of on a truck. Often local allows for organic produce with a lower price. It also supports the local economy.
Fun fact: Nicole is a classically trained pianist and teaches during the winter months when she isn’t gardening.
