Halfway River Farm is a solar powered farm bordering the Halfway River in Hantsport NS. Farmers Greg and Elsie grow a variety of salad greens, tomatoes, and root crops from organic seed using regenerative agriculture techniques as well as a highly sought after garlic “Nova Select”. Supporting community businesses creates and maintains local employment, economic growth and permits entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams in a small community. Buying from your community farmer develops food security and Elsie and Greg appreciate that individuals “feel it matters enough” to come by and purchase locally grown food, developing a trust in their farmers and learning more about where their food comes from!
