The Dog ate it! Dog Bakery
Kathy is the owner and official CBB (Chief Biscuit Baker) of The Dog Ate It Dog Bakery. She adores dogs and she loves it when they stop by her booth for a tail wagging visit and enjoy a complimentary biscuit, or two. Inspired by her own dogs to make a simple, fresh baked treat, her first batch of biscuits found their way to the biscuit box in 1999. She now offers ten doglicious flavours of biscuits, donuts, muffins, brownies & more all based on the premise that less is more and fresh baked is best. Her fresh baked to order biscuits and treats ingredients include whole grain flour, farm fresh whole meats, low fat dairy, fruits, vegetable and a hint of maple syrup or honey. Her recipes can be modified to accommodate special diets and lifestyles.
To Kathy, locally sourced means that she is one small part of the solution in recognizing and understanding the importance of working towards and supporting global initiatives directed to protecting our plant and its valuable resources, investing in local projects to clean our ocean, restore our wetlands and support local agriculture and farmers which together strengthens our economy leading to stronger communities, through small business development and employment. Lastly, locally sourced ingredients purchased from fellow artisans, neighbourhood farmers and retailers build positive relationships which provides her with a level of comfort knowing the food she has purchased for her family and business are safe, fresh and oh so delicious!
Fun Fact: Kathy enjoys playing pool, fishing, bike riding and exploring Nova Scotia.
